iCloud Name Already Taken – So it Looks Like iClod After all

Apple’s new iCloud service has stumbled on a slight naming hitch. The iCloud name is already taken – So it Looks Like iClod After all.

It was anticipated that Apple’s new iCloud would come up against legal issues concerning trademark infringement, and so was the case with previous Apple products such as ; the Mighty Mouse, iPhone and iAd…

Whilst Apple’s use of the lowercase letter ‘i’ in front of its products and services  has become commonplace in the tech industry, businesses are still popping up all over the globe using Apple’s naming convention with no regard for any possible later legal issues.

However in this case iCloud Communications founded in 2005; a US business located in Phoenix who offer cloud-based file storage services, is filing a lawsuit – arguing that Apple has disrupted its rapport with current customers who are apparently confused by Apple’s connection with iCloud Communications…

Hello, still there ? but wouldn’t you agree that any confusion with the famous Apple can’t be that damaging…can it ?

Check out the i Cloud below for examples of where the letter ‘i’ is used as part of a name. Can you think of any more?
